Lance Koonce presented this webinar on the federal copyright case between Oracle America Inc. and Google Inc. on 12/5/13. His presentation provided a first-hand report on the oral arguments held on December 4, 2013, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Oracle America Inc. v. Google Inc., a landmark copyright case involving the protection of the structural elements of Java APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). The webinar provided a brief description of the case and a blow-by-blow account of the arguments and the judges’ reactions to those arguments. Lance also shared some predictions as to likely outcomes.
